Melting Crayons

Today the class watched an experiment where the matter changed from a solid to a liquid, then back to a solid. It was extrememly fun to watch as the broken crayons bubbled and then formed back into a heart shaped crayon. Some of the names that they made up for the colors were unique.

We had: Scrambled Eggs (Yellow and White); Rummel Creek (Orange and Blue); Earth (Blue and Green); Lagoon Green (Green with a touch of Brown); Lightening in the Sky (Blue with a touch of yellow); Pumpkin (Orange and other colors); Dirt (Green, Orange, Grey, Purple, Brown & Blue)Lava (Orange and Red); and Fire (Red).
